Why?
  • Human beings must be more careful about environment, because we are living on this fragile eco-system on the earth.
  • Human being should be a guardian of all creatures to coexist with us on the earth as long as possible.
  • Mutsugoro is a typical watcher of changing environment between land and sea. If we lose them, there will be no substitute any more.
Summary
要約

>Top 0. Mutsugoro:

  • There is a controversial issue which takes the precedence between development or environment about reclamation works of Isahaya Bay, Nagasaki prefecture. Weak and silent "Mutsugoro", mudskipper should be complainants. A development promoting farmer is reported saying that "Mutsugoro have not paid tax." This discloses the nature of this issue; what and how national land and environment should we Japanese pursue and maintain? Is it really essential problem for life maintenance or our environment?
  • Is it worth to hurry to expand arable land spending more than $1.4 billion? Is there any other alternatives like spending ODA budget for cultivation or disaster protection? Is it really needed to secure more cultivation for more aging and less children society towards 21st century Japan. Japan should maintain wide variety of nature and ecology, and pursue to restructure its community through intensive investment into more software-oriented fields like education, arts, science, high technology and IT areas, aiming to induce more worldwide intelligence to Japan.
  • Mutsugoro look like living fossils of fish trying to land and become amphibian, which remind us the evolution of animals; originally from fish to amphibian, reptiles, and then mammals. Mutsugoro as a species lived more than several hundred million years, while human race lives only several million years. Humans are trying to perish Mutsugoro at a stroke resulting from human's ego.
  • We must be more careful in separating the environment which surely contains human life into bunks, arable lands, city areas, etc. by easy definition of control. Tidelands which seawater and fresh water contaminate are quite delicate and fragile, but ideal places for birth of life. Japanese islands located at the fringe of the continent are affluent in geographic features, cultural, rural, and even political varieties; which consist of attraction of selections. Please remain tidelands for us and our posterity!

Comment
  • If someone say we can neglect the existence of Mutsugoro because of no payment of tax, then how much have we paid for food and oxygen produced by plants, for decomposition activities by bacteria, for solar energy radiated by the Sun, geothermal energy warmed by volcanoes?
  • Tax is a very modest payment within a tiny society of human beings compared with surrounding gigantic mechanism of environment.
