Why?
  • comeandgoHere is a DMM (Diamond Mandala Matrix) way of key idioms in English: sixth basic concept seems have been developed from the very early time, probably since the days of the naked apes as our ancestor.
  • Horizontally, there are | Come | Be| Become| Go | axis according to the time line, which represents coming and going as the time passes: we can only remember our own past and imagine our future, by recognizing the present.
  • Vertically, there are | Have| Hold| Get | Take| Give | axis relating to our actions. Our ancestor primates were surrounded by stronger competitors: then we discovered to make a group to survive; which needed communication and collaboration as a group. In order to give something to others we must take them first. To get something we must See| Look | Think| Put| Keep | them.
  • If these are not available yet, we must Do| Turn| Make | them into useful things and then we can give them to our partners with adding some| Say | as a message; such as here is a food, or I will give it to you. We invented the form of possessive case, then objective and dative cases. To clarify the relations of thing, we needed instrumental and locative cases.
  • There are so many idioms related to these 18 basic words in English. It is fun to learn basic combination of simple words, rather than to use more refined or defined Latin-Greek original terms. Let's elaborate or look through and work out them!
  • Also, it is useful and fan to translate the idioms into Esperanto, which can indicate etymological origin in European languages.
